Todd France broke into magazine photography early in his career after winning two awards at the prestigious Eddie Adam Workshop for Photojournalism. This early drive to tell story through photography continues to define his work.
Todd’s work as a photojournalist dates back to 1991 when assignments for Euromoney newspapers and magazines took him to five continents. Subsequent client publications included BusinessWeek and Teen People, where he was one of a handful of photographers under contract when they won the National Magazine Award for General Excellence.
Because of its strong storytelling roots, his reportage style results in captivating images whether in brand, event, portraiture or wedding photography. Todd was an early practitioner of the reportage style of wedding photography in contrast with the more static images that dominated the field. For four years running he has been a Knot Best of Weddings Winner.
An NYC resident for over two decades, Todd currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two sons. When he manages to put down his camera, he’s been known to sail and even coach the boys’ soccer team.
